Speaking on Black Creativity
What does it mean to build a creative career as a Black artist in Oklahoma?
On June 18, 2026, I’ll be joining fellow artists Marcus Eakers, Dawn Jaiye, and JUHFAYFAY for the Black Creativity Panel for Juneteenth on the East.
We’ll be discussing representation, access to opportunities, creative challenges, the impact of art in our communities, and what it takes to sustain a creative practice.
As an artist, muralist, and founder of People by People, I’m excited to share lessons from nearly 20 years of creating, navigating opportunities, building partnerships, and advocating for artists across Oklahoma.
