Sanitation trucks get facelift

After many months of planning, approvals, and contracts, the city of Nichols Hills is moving forward and adding color to the road for its inaugural public truck art project.

More than a dozen artists submitted proposals to create art wraps for sanitation trucks in the city following City Council approval of the project last February. Scaramucci and her fellow commissioners, Leigh Ann Albers, Ford Austin, Amy Dunn, and Chip Oppenheim, chose four finalists and requested a more robust proposal.

The selected finalists were approved by the City Council during their meeting earlier this month. The art renderings of Tiffany McKnight, Chase Spivey, Tara Juozitis, and the team of Taylor Clark & Mackenzie Brim were selected. They’ll now get to work creating art for both the cabs and loading hoppers of the city’s sanitation fleet.
